Our Mission

We are on a journey to create more equitable access and inclusion for visitors with disabilities at the Hunt Museum and beyond.

So far we have collaborated with blind/visually impaired people and autistic persons to make simple changes which have made the Museum more welcoming, inclusive and accessible for everyone.

Central to achieving change is collaborating with these communities to understand the physical, sensory, cognitive and social barriers that they experience in the Museum and working with them to co-design accommodations and solutions to mitigate these.

Follow and get involved in our journey through this website. Share examples of best practice in disability access and inclusion so that museums across Ireland can learn from them.

We want to share our journey and spread the word.

We have so many resources that you can learn from. Why not start your own inclusive museum project?
